The most meaningless and absurd of all activities is the artistic one. To give meaning to the apparent meaninglessness of existence, to hold onto something in artistic activity where everything crumbles between the fingers and other big words can be opposed to it. To create one's own reality in order to be sheltered in it, in order to be able to attack the other, shallow worn-out reality, to fight, against oneself, others, against the windmills, to win, to lose, to be strong and weak in one. To admire strength from one's own weakness, to understand weakness from one's own strength. To be human, to have to be all too human, to have wings, yet to be nailed to both feet, to have to live and survive.
